Thanks for the vid! That was the conversation at Sportsmans today as well. My notes show Jan 5th last year with a bunch of open water in the center. Deep lakes freeze slowly but with these temps it will be sooner this year unless warmer temps slow it down. After that ring freezes between the lookout and the S. dam edge, the ice can move to the island in a weeks time! Keep your fingers crossed!
