Made the trip to Devils today, I was a little nervous wandering out on the clear ice. Drilled a hole to find about 4-6 inches of Ice and a depth of eight feet. I was a little shallower then I would have liked so I headed out to about 15 feet and set up shop. The fishing was red hot for the next three hours. The painful cold was my only deterrent to non-stop action. I didn't bring my heater and don't have shelter yet [:/]. One pole was all I could manage, the final count was around twenty fish, keeping six for the smoker. The top two in my pic went about 18 inches and fought hard. Not a bad start to my ice season. Good luck to everyone and be safe!
