I wound up getting a new pair of Orvis "Silver Label II" breathable stocking-foot waders for about $80 (eBay).
They haven't arrived yet, but even when they DO, it's now end-of-season for me, so I won't get to try them out until next spring (~April...?) [:/]
Good or bad, I'll try to remember this thread and post a "Bob-review" of them.
