WADERS...A NECESSARY EVIL
#25
We've digressed a bit, so I thought I'd put the subject back on waders. I've got a pair of FlyTech neoprene waders that I've had for over 5 years now. I didn't know much about waders when I bought them, and they're a helluva lot heavier than most of the waders I've been looking lately. The spec sheet said Titanium coated and the word cool raced through my mind. Now, whenever warmer weather comes around the only words that come to mind are hot and sweaty. I must say that I've been really hard on them. I leave them in the hot sun, toss them on the ground and walk all over them, and just throw them in the shed when I'm done, but they've never sprung a leak. They are stocking-foot, but it's all the same material and it's all stitched the same from top to bottom. The seam tape on the inside of the waders has started peeling and if I 'd ever get off my arse I'd glue it all back on. I think if I were to go looking for a new set today I'd probably spend some time looking at the FlyTech brand again. They're owned by Stearns and you can look at their stuff at [#666666]www.stearnsinc.com .[/#666666]
