here in utah only one place to fish them Willard Bay Res. they have'nt attained the size they get in other staes yet or state record is just over seven pounds the most productive method at this time of year is trolling shad/rattle trap type lures about 3MPH alot of people also use 3"grubs white seems to being a favorite this year august thur october here in utah we start see boils as the wipers ballup schools of shad and top water is the ticket popper type or even zara spooks will pull them in then about all i know i'm sure someone else can come up with the water temps and such when they will "turn on" hope this helps someone good fishing all
