I can see that, specially on a LURE, where the hook is dangling.
On a Fly, the Lure is the hook. Kelly Galloup makes HUGE articulated flies.
I can't remember exactly, but I seem to recall him saying that he use to put the big fly in the front and the little one at the rear of the fly, but he found that the fish will hit their prey at the HEAD, then come back and eat it so he was reversing the hook size.
I don't recall and I may be way off on this. I just know his instructions on the Sex Dungeon on line has Big in front little in rear but it could be older ad.
I think Circle hooks are a good idea on the dangling end. Like the Moffett system
