lots of shad lake mead
#2
Hello Largemouthbass,

Yes it is that time of the year. They are in close early and late in the day. This will be pattern until middle of December then they will stay deep until they come in to spawn in March or April.

I just found out we have Gizzard shad in the lake now. The NDOW does two gill netting per year. The first one early this year they netting a few up by Temple Bar. The second one in October they netted them everywhere. I think 85% of fish they netted were gizzard shad.

They can grow up to 16 inches and weigh up to 3 lbs. So know we have Threadfin and Gizzard Shad for the fish to feast on.

Also the trout plants start up on Lake Mead this week I believe.
