lake mead sun fish?

I should invest in a fly rod [blush]. I tried the shoreline with joes flies and some bluefoxs just with no avail. I take my family there on weekends when it gets crazy, and I noticed all the fish that were being caught if any including the one I caught were caught out deep like 30 + ft out, and I didnt see any jumping shallow its my own observation. Last year I did well with the same tactics and this year nada I guess its to early to tell ill be out there this weekend ill post if theres any action.
