Do Trout bite at night?
#11
In Dave's pictures those are steelhead. We don't get those in Southern Nevada. There are some big ones lurking in Lake Tahoe and they pretty much use similar tactics as they use for mackinaw. Troll a medium or large sized minnow type plug. Now according to a guy I talked to a Basspro guy I talked to in the fly shop, he caught a 7 lbs rainbow at Willow Beach using a #10 olive wooly bugger. I've also read in the NDOW angler info guide for Sunset that a 12lbs trout was hauled out in 2002. I don't know what was used. I haven't seen anything that big come out of either place yet.
