We fished the confluence at Lewiston this Wed. and Thur., night fishing with Brad's lighted lures. We had never tried this type of fishing before, and there was a learning curve, of course, but it is an interesting way of fishing, to say the least. Water's Edge Sp. Goods said the fishing had turned off due to Dworshak cutting back on releases, and the water temps shooting up. They said many of the Snake fish had gone all the way up to Orofino, looking for cooler water. The guides taking people up to the Snake-Salmon confluence were hammering them. Limits of 5 for everyone. In the two nights we fished, we saw 3 steelhead caught, and one jack salmon caught during the day. The Idaho F.and G. checker told us he had been checking most of the day Wednesday, and had only seen one steelhead. I really like the fishing style, however, and intend on returning. Mike
