I'll be fishing a river so I have a lot of luck drifting down a little powerbait. That stuff works great for me on stocked trout anywhere around here. A lot of times i'll catch them on a small nightcrawler or a mealworm. I attack a small splitshot weight, cast upstream, and wait for a strike.
