Rust on a hook dose matter.


[ul][li]it makes getting bait on the hook more difficult.[/li][li]it requires more power to set the hook in to a fishes jaw[/li][li]it retains any unwanted sents and holds bacteria that will cause serious infections besides the lock jaw you can get from getting poked by a rusty nail.... [/li][/ul]Clean it or replace it...

if your in a bind, you can scrape as much rust off with a knife or quarter, find something... its to your benifit to use unrusted equipment...
