Caught three largemouths Saturday and I honestly couldn't stand a fourth -- that's how much my arms hurt! The second was a 2-pounder + and I had to let it fight itself into submission. A week ago my doc said to take a time-release Aleve then yesterday denied it, saying that's what hiking my blood pressure. What's hiking my BP is the pain!!! All I ask is sunup to 10 on Saturdays, you know.
On top of that I must have mistakenly oiled the drag on my Curado Bantam (which I quickly plucked out of the bargain bin at K-Mart for $20). Didn't know it until trying to set the hook on the first catch. Twirled the star drag but couldn't get any traction. Had to use my thumb on the spool and lift, then reel. Sigh! I'm down to three good baitcasters, and my favorite is, uh, misplaced at the repair shop. Say, anyone know of a good reel repair shop that isn't too expensive for replacing bearings?
