my first fish on my new flyrod.

Well I picked up a new rod last spring, a #12 Bass Pro blow out special...

glad I got it, I realy doubt my #8 would have survived the strain I put on the new one this week.

What is little known is that michigan has a few fish to target worthy of a flyrod of this gage.

I had gone twice looking for trout and realized the reason I was getting out manovered by the trout is because I hadnt taken my new rod and reel with me. Oh ya, my new reel was a Gandermountain blow out special as well...

[left]I would like to say I caught them on some fancy home made fly, but honestly I havent the skill or the patients to make quality flies.

[left]no to say the truth, I used a peice of green yarn on a number 4 circle hook for the one in the top pic and spawn for the other two a day later.
