Speedy float tube

Thought about it but haven't tried it that in my ODC. The second part of the video reminded me of when I used to cross the Intercoastal along the Texas coast in an old belly boat in order to reach flats to wade for reds. Because of speeding shrimp boats and other fast traffic, I had to cross quickly. There was no time to kick as usual, so I released the crotch strap, rolled over, held onto the back of the tube with my arms, holding rods in my hands, and "swam" across the chop as fast as I could. Still, although nothing was visible in either direction when I started out, a couple of times I had to go into overdrive to stay safe.

I'm thinking of going the other direction now that winter is near -- finding something that'll act like a "booster seat" to raise my frosty butt to water level or higher while still allowing my fins to move me.
