I was talking about the Salmon area- my bad- in a week or two they will be there. This next cold front coming should put a lightning rod on their anal fin and get them moving. Boy what classic steelhead water up there for the fly guy. Long runs of 4 to 6 feet strewn with basketball size boulders into long tail outs- about as sweet as it gets when their in. Not many trout though- what's the deal with trout and a river that has salmon and steelie runs? Usually that equals a not so great trout river. I picked up 8 to 12" cuttbows but no decent sized trout and I covered a lot of river and scanned that bottom for miles each day.
