It's only going to get better T bone. This cold front coming in this week should really get them active. I hope to get out this weekend, as the trip we had planned for this past Sunday fell through due to weather condition. I guess it was really sporty out there.
I'm looking foward to giving the trout a spanking in the VERY near future. I want to get it done while the mullet and shrimp are easy to cast net. I'm not a big fan of tossing lures, as I never have much luck with them for trout. [pirate]
The kings are doing very good right now, when you can get out there, and if you know what to look for. They are stacked in tight schools, and just trolling blind doesn't do much. But, if you get behind them, you'll smoke their azz.
The offshore bottom fishing is only getting better too. You know, they changed the regs for that too. Only three grouper per boat, and only one combined with that of a half dozen or so species. You can only keep 5 Vermilion Snapper too, and there's a closed season coming up. Just happens to be the best time of year to fish for them, and they decide to close the season. A- Holes........
The fishing is only going to get better through November dude, you should be just fine. Let me know when you're coming in, maybe we can wet a hook together or something.
