[cool]Accidents...by definition...are things that happen unplanned. And, when you are an angler...and/or a tuber or tooner...accidents seldom work to our advantage.
First, the good news. The slice is probably repairable and should hold once repaired.
The "bad news" is that I do not know anywhere locally that sells the product you need. It can be bought online through [url "http://www.patchngo.com/shop.html"]http://www.patchngo.com/shop.html[/url]
You will need "option C"...the piece of repair material 3" X 10". Then you will use about half of that...cutting it to 5" X 3". This stuff makes an instant patch and the bond continues to grow stronger over time. Works great. And, once the bladder is back inside the toon, and is forced against the cover, under pressure, it is as strong as the original bladder.
Yes, you should also repair the slit in the cover, not only for appearance sake but to restore strength and support over the cut in the bladder. You can simply Aquaseal both sides...inside first...while you have the cover off. Put a good wide patch on the inside, where it is not visible. Then, when that cures, run a small bead over the outside just to eliminate the potential for snagging. It dries clear so it will not be highly visible.
You are welcome to bring your ride over to my place for any part of the repair. Also, if you would like, I can add your patch kit to an order I need to make also. Just used the last of my patch material to help out a fellow tuber.
