new waiders leaking =(
#26
I am on several fly fishing sites. Unfortunately, on them Simms is a maybe 65/35 as far as leaks. In other words....they leak like any other wader. They are not bullet proof.
Most have had success with them, but the same is said about other higher priced waders. It is that name SIMMS just like WINSTON. Associated with quality, and yes the quality is there.
My brother in-law had Clearwaters he wore not only for fishing but sprinkler work so he wore them allot. They did spring leaks occasionally, but the alcohol was easy to spot and fix.
He now has the G3's and although doesn't wear them as much as the clearwaters, working on I think his second year with no leaks that I know of.

Then the Orvis Pro Guide. I have had to replace mine after 3 years, but hubby is on 6th year.
What I am getting at is any wader can leak. Sounds like you have had some bad luck with the ones you have and I would definitely move on.

Last note.....Brand New Simms Wading boots..........made in CHINA.
