Red Banks was one of the first places I caught fish on a fly rod. Put a hopper on the end of his line and it shouldn't be a problem. The only problem there is keeping his fly out of the trees. If all else fails you are only a few minutes from Tony Grove and he can use his spinning reel up there. He could use spinners there but the holes are rather short-plunge pool,drop,plundge pool, drop.
