Sorry about this late reply but I've been fishin! Yes sportboats are a different ball game especially in situations of multiple hook-ups. The skipper and deckhands cringe when somebody breaks out the light stuff and "cuts" everybody off.When I was a kid deckhand we used to tell people to stop fishing with light tackle in heavy bites like an albacore bite or any kind of bite that the "over and under" system had to be utilized. I think that's only fair to the other guys. It's much easier in your own boat where if anybody complains you can say "shut-up who's boat is this"(chuckle). In the old days a light liner on a sport boat was severly admonished to get with it or suffer severe criticism from the others or at the most get thrown overboard. Yes that happened on one of my trips on the "Fisherman II" out of old Pacific Landing, 1948 (I think).We had to manhandle a light-liner back into the boat and it was a long way up from the water. Yes, he changed line.
