I get you on the specialty lines and that is a big plus
The Sage Largemouth is the more powerful model of the two new 7’ 11” Sage Bass Fly Fishing Rods and is designed to cast short belly, weight forward lines that weigh 330 grains for the front 30’ of the line; basically an equivalent of an 11 weight fly line.
The Sage Smallmouth is the lighter duty model of the two new 7’ 11” Sage Bass Fly Fishing Rods and is designed to cast short belly, weight forward lines that weigh 290 grains for the front 30’ of the line; basically an equivalent of an 10+ weight fly line.
The Sage Bluegill is the lightest of three new 7’ 11” Sage Bass Fly Fishing Rods and is designed to cast short belly, weight forward lines that weigh 230 grains for the front 30’ of the line; basically an equivalent of an 8 weight fly line.
They are all light weight rods also.
Like my 8 weight weighs less than most 5 weights. Makes it a joy to cast the big stuff.
