That is exactly what I'm trying to do TubeDude. The pic helps some because I'm trying to get an idea of what size I need with minimal trial and error and (unfortunately) limited time to actually inflate my tube and measure it.

Pete, I do the same exact thing with my phone, keys and camera. I just want something big in the back where I can also bring extra tackle boxes, clothing, etc. on a day-to-day basis.
flygoddess, my initial thought was to make an elevated shelf, but thanks to this site I was shown that I didn't have to make it so complicated.
