We try to leave the main board for just fishing reports and questions about fishing. When we feel there is a worthwhile event like the DAV event we talk about it and decide if we will allow it to stay on the main board, that includes all parts of it. We know that at times this can be confusing to most regular users because it seems we are not following our own rules but we feel their are exceptions to every rule. In most cases we try and be consistent. Your electric motor problem was not considered a fishing report and we have a board for boats and motors, that is normally where those post are moved to. In most cases we try and leave a pointer to the board it was moved to so everyone can follow post that are moved. Dubob's post on Anglers Den is another good example, it is not a fishing report or question about fishing. The Utah mods have our own board and we discuss just about everything that happens on these boards. We do not always agree about everything the other mods do
but we try and stand behind each other. I hope this helps explain why we run the boards the way we do, I've got to get to bed[crazy].
