drift boat or pontoon?

The drift boat is nice if you want to just throw things in and go. The toon takes a bit more time loading just to make sure things are in place. There is a big weight difference which should be looked at depending on where you put in and take out. You need a trailer with the drift, but not with the toon, all tho it does make it easier to leave it inflated on a trailer. The toon can float in shallower water, but not a big differance. If you do float a shallow river, you can pick up or walk the toon through the shallow area much easier. The Outfitter is more comparable to a drift. It really depends on what your situation is with fishing, vehicles, number of people, type of rivers fished, etc.
