Sekiu Washington is on the Olympic Peninsula, about an hour west of Port Angeles. It is about 20 miles in from the open ocean. It is popular for a couple of reasons: Salmon tend to hang out there because of the abundance of herring, candlefish, anchovies, and shrimp. The other advantage is that it is somewhat protected, and the good fishing is literally minutes from the docks. We have fished it in a 16' Gregor Sea Hawk for 20 some years, and now fish in a 16' Hewescraft. Of course, there is fog and wind at times, and a GPS can come in very handy. If you have any other questions, fire away!! You can go to the Olson's Resort web page and click on "Live Cam" for a picture of the area. I would recommend, however, that you try Van Ripers Resort first, if interested in res.'s. Mike
