No frame new game
#5
I agree, the outlaw is a great boat and I am very happy with mine. I had to deal with a lot of bs from NF Outfitters to finally get what I paid a fair sum of money for. With prices like that, customer service and accuracy should be priority #1 IMO.
Thanks FG for the links and striking the spark to help my muddled mind think of a solution to this problem. Will report with a follow up of which way I lean.

Curios, what BS did you have to deal with?
I dont have the X5 but the base model outlaw. When I was researching my first toon, NFO caught my eye due to it being a Utah company first (from the Ogden area) and the fact it was frame less which was a huge plus due to storage concerns. I made the decision and called their shop. I happened to speak with Dave Scadden on my first call and asked him a series of questions concerning trolling motors, rod holders and sonar mounting options. I also inquired about the leaning bar option and cargo deck. I had total assurance that the boat would meet all my expectations and more. Awesome! I took the leap and ordered it on the phone. When my package arrived I didnt have the time to get into it so it sat for a few days but when I finally opened it I discovered that NFO had shipped me the Madison tubes minus the frame and nothing else. Took several days to contact them and I couldnt leave a message due to the voicemail inbox being full. Finally got through and explained my situ. to another fella on the phone.Squared away? not hardly. I receive the next box in the mail. Got the right boat this time but no pump, no foot bar or S-clips and no leaning bar or cargo deck. Getting a little annoying especially with the dude on phone acting completely non chalant about the incompetence in his shop. It took 2 more shipments to finally get the whole package including the straps to hold down the deck (which I think is a really lame design and ended up buying two more longer straps to get the deck tight. The leaning bar is not configured to work with the frame less outlaw or at least I couldnt ever understand how to make it work. But due to me being tired of dealing with NFO I ate the loss. At least they paid all the extra shipping costs. This was last spring and I missed the spawn on the areas I had in mind to target. The whole process took over a month to finally get right. Too bad because I really like the boat although there are a couple design flaws that are really only nuisances but with this boat being rated for class IV and V white water I would be very hesitant to because the oar post location puts the Saddlebags in the way of clean strokes not to mention the oar shafts rub across my thighs with every stroke. Not the ideal motion in a split second decision making whitewater situation. On the lake the boat is great excepting the oar Saddlebag conflict and thigh rubbing.
