In high school, I had a friend whos family had a cabin on the upper provo (south fork I believe?) just before you get to the mill hollow turn off. It used to be good fishing, browns, cutts, and whites. As for the upper, upper provo in the uintas, it looks good, but is sucks! My brother and I basically grew up in the Uintas (we were there so much), and we could never catch fish out of the upper provo. It is one of those streams that you say to yourself "looks like it should have fish", but it doesn't! Good luck!
As for the provo in the canyon, I sure do miss the days back in the 90's when my brother and I used to slay the fish up there, with size too! Those days have long gone! Sad to see. Makes me sick to see the shoulder to shoulder fishing that goes on there now. Oh well, that's what happens when a good thing comes along, it gets used up!
