You "hate to say this"? Really? You seemed to enjoy saying it. Your passive aggressive tone makes me think you were, or are, a guide.

All the ammunition they need to bust me? So you are saying if I suggest a method of how to steal something and someone does that; I am to blame for the theft? Nasty slippery slope fallacy that you are living by. Notice the term "Donation".

I have no soft spot for 'official' guides. They are making a profit from a sportsman's resource. Checked out with IOGA or the Coast Guard means nothing to me. My issue is with their rates. It seems exorbitant to charge what they charge to float someone down a river and say 'cast there'.

Hope its worth it and the cheap boat ya came in on?

Not nice.

Again, if you 'hate to say it' don't say it...

I bet you row a Hyde.[/quote] Not to get into the middle of this, but I was catch'n the same vibe from that post...Speaking of guides, they aren't my favorite people on the river..more than once I've had them stop right in the middle of a hole that I was fishing . That kills me..here I am on the shore and they have the whole river...most aren't not very friendly either. I always go out of my way to be nice to people..like saying hi or a wave when they float by...more times than not I get a cold blank stare thrown my way..maybe it's because I'm using a eggbeater and I'm drowning worms[laugh]
