Any current info on Cascade Lake?
#9
If nothing else works at Cascade, try for kokanee. No, not coho. We slammed them a few years ago about this time. For three years we got into them. Fish and Game asked me one time at the docks, how I'd done. I said we limited out on 18-19 inch kokes. He laughed, and told me we were catching coho. I told him that I'd caught coho in Cascade many times, but that these were kokanee. He asked to see them, so he could educate me as to the difference. He said, "put your finger in the mouth like this, and you will feel the teeth of the coho, which you won't find on kokes. Damn, they were kokanee!! He seemed shocked. Most people don't think to use shoepeg corn and go specifically for them. They always seem to be in one location--on the west side across from the city dock. If the trout and perch don't pan out, give it a try. Mike
P.S.: It isn't you; the fishing has not been as good of late for trout.
