Unfortunately, I think if you simply posted "I went fishing today. It was sunny. Boat ran good", someone would say something negative.
On the other end of the spectrum, I think you'd get the same result if you had a film crew follow you around, along with a couple of DWR agents to measure & document your fish, and a public notary to make it all official.
I think it's unfortunate. I enjoy reading your posts, and I am using some of the tips you sent me in a PM to catch more fish in locations where I had struggled previously. I appreciate that, and hope you keep posting.
When the negative stuff comes, and it will, just ignore it. I for one would rather hear about where you fished and what worked than watch it get into a 4 page debate on whether a dog's leg in relation a bass on the deck of your boat is an accurate indicator of whether it is 20", 19&3/4", 21&1/2", etc. So what. You know what you caught.
That being said, if you feel like some company next time you hit Jordanelle, I'd love to learn more about that reservoir. I'll split gas with you and buy the drinks. If you are interested, please send me a PM.
