Places to fish near Lava Hotsprings

Just got some news that the family vacation this year will be held at lava hotsprings in August. I need to get some use out of the invasive specie sticker I purchased. I want to take my nephew fishing on the boat. Question is, where is a close place? I can't find chesterfield reservoir on the map, is it any good and where the heck is it? If anyone knows of a place that is close that we can catch some trout, please let me know. Thanks.......Clint
