Don't get all tied up in trying to use planer boards out there until you have gotten aquainted with regular long-line trolling. Just run long lines (175-200 feet) out to your lures on both sides of your boat. Once you have that mastered (or at least familiar) then graduate to planers. The cluster mess of planners can sour a newbie fast. (not that you are a newbie, but for others reading this.)
-- Troll 3.0 mph
-- Use about any Rapala lure in size 5 or 7 in Rapala's "silver" color. (silver/white belly and black back)
-- Start trolling emediately right out the channel of the South marina. Keep trolling between there and the light pole. Bound to bring in some good super wiper fillets.
