[#0000ff]"Don't count out walley's on crank baits"[/#0000ff]
submoa is absolutely right. In fact, since I don't use bouncers for my walleye, I generally put on a carnk bait (tail dancer or walleye diver type lure) and head to parts of the lake where eyes hang out. That is how I target my eyes on Willard and am succesfull about 50% of the time. When I get even more serious, I run the crank out behind 3 colors of lead line to get it down near the bottom where most eyes hang out. Actually, more specifically, my lead line is tied to 150 feet of fireline then to the Tail Dancer crank. That way, I only have to go down 3 colors (shallow lake) but can go WAY back away from the noise of the boat motor.
But anyway, ya, as submoa indicated, cranks are a great way to target eyes. But in VERY general terms, cranks for wiper and bouncers for eyes.
