I took some of the neighborhood kids out fishing last Sunday and I am finally getting around to posting my discovery.
Horseshoe Bend Mill Pond is loaded with sunfish and bluegill. I had the kids hooked into all sized of spiny fish using small stimulator pattern flies. Easy catching. The water was swimable last weekend. There is a river water inlet from the Payette on the upriver side. A few people were pulling out trout using worms on the bottom. The water was murky from the run-off.
It has a nice improved ramp by the pit toilets and the shelter. It is around 30 acres. There is sign reading something about a 5 mph speed limit and no jet skis. It is a cool place to take kids or someone from out of town.
