[/size][/#008000][/font][size 4][font "Garamond"][#008000]Don’t know whether Jim has been following all of the dialogue but exchange of ideas & opinions are something to feed on. It at least makes some of us who have been fly fishing for some time, reflect on how we not only got started, but also why we continue on with this great sport. I remember when I first started moderating on this forum back in 03 that someone asked if I tied my own flies to which I answered while I play golf I don’t make my own golf balls. Well needless to say, I POed off a few folks. Then one day I said why not start tying. That is probably the best decision I made to enhance my appreciation of fly fishing. Prior to that time I’d be lucky to ID just a couple of flies. Today I know a few more by sight, how they’re made and an array of materials used to construct them. Oh yea I don’t mind losing a fly or two anymore since it gives me a reason to tie up some more. I guess that we’re never too old to learn something new.
