I have a question regarding a fishing rod. ( for freshwater )
#21
Roxanne,

Just go to K-Mart or Big 5 and buy any $25.00 rod and reel combo rigged with 4 lb test line. Buy small number 4 or 6 hooks and a package of small split shots. The sells person can help you with that. Now here is the trick. Both trout, Blue gill and Crappie all love live crickets. You are going to get more bits on crickets than on worms of any kind. Make sure the crickets are live. They will not bite you and they carry no diseases. You'll need the cricket sells preson to show you how to hook the cricket on the line without killing it. You can also purchase a bobber for your line. If fishing from the bank you should use a bobber to keep from getting hung up on the bottom. If fishing from a boat, forget the bobber.

Last thing, if you are afraid of crickets and worms, take a dumb young boy with you and have him bait your line. He'll have fun playing with the crickets and the worms and at the end or the day, you will have a mess of fish.
