As far as the foot peg holes, they contract the frames to another "LOCAL" company and they use jigs, so that is strange, but our standing platform needed some adjusting also as they were the first out of a new machinist batch. Work great now.
I know with my boat, I have to slide my seat back all the way (I have a 36" inseam) and get my legs straight to row. I like this as I find I can put more pressure behind the strokes, but I also wondered how that worked with the pedestal seat.
After this weekend, I understand why you chose a pedestal, though. It would be nice,
I also thought that I would like to get the extension thingy you got for you rod holder. Standing up then reaching back for the rod could be easier.
We ended up getting the lean bar rod holders that Dave sells.
You said "but a little harder to row because the wider profile creates drag". The Width has nothing to do with the drag. I worried about the center piece causing drag (instead of two long pontoons, like skis), but the center piece doesn't touch the water...it is two skis.
I think it is very easy to kick (I use Force Fins) and flies when rowing (I have the Carbon Oars).
Compared to my 11 1/2' X 12" diameter Cardiac Canyon Pontoon, I feel the Outlaw can and does do everything the CC did, but with out the toons shifting on the frame, and it doesn't want to turn in the wind, but rather tracks straight.

As far as the Standing bar, I haven't had trouble with it being in the way other than I leave it off when Baxter comes with me cause he sits in a Rubbermaid box and with the battery, the bar would be on top of the box.
Good news, they are going to have available, a WIDER shelf. They made one for a 25 hrsp motor and like the idea. This will give Soooooo much more storage room.
