My son and his buddy fished it Sat for bass and it was hot. They caught a bunch from 1 to 4 lbs. They also caught a trout that went almost 7 lbs on a red rattletrap.
Fishing is usually good from ice off until about the middle of July. I have had my best fishing there from Memorial day thru the first couple of weeks in July depending on weather. I also have been snowed on over the 4th of July. I mostly fish for smallies but on occasion I'll troll a crankbait for trout and have done pretty good. I know a lot of people troll with flashers but I never cared for them. I rather feel the fight of the trout and not the flashers. I have a cabin up there and spend a lot of time there. I'll be heading up there about the middle of June and be up there thru the middle of July.
Headed to Hells Cyn tomorrow for a week, come back home for a week and head back up for another week for a bass tourney.
I love being retired. [cool]
BTW I was in Howard's in Nampa yesterday and picked up a Cascade Lake map. It shows all the underwater contours and GPS readings for some of the hot spots to fish.
