Yea it works that way (in pieces) if you grill a big one whole. Trying to get the Y bones out of fillets of the bigger ones is what I was talking about. Ya know I somtimes even put crapie in the oven on 300 degrees until I can peel them off the bone and slip the skin off. Then fry or make into sandwiches. It beats filleting & scaling 50-60 crapie at a time...[
