Well, they have actually been doing a pretty good job dealing with the sea lions. There are two types that hang out below Bonneville. Stellar sea lions and California sea lions (the stellar ones are endangered, so they don't have as much flexibility with them). They have been trapping them and hauling them off. Either to Sea World type places, or back out to the ocean. They have actually euthanized 7 this year that had some disease that is unfit for aquariums. Really it would help if there were none there at all, but actually they are not even a problem at all compared to the hundreds of gill nets lining the bank all the way from Bonneville to Lower Granite. Heck, I'd be happy if we could just get the Idaho fish that make it past the sea lions and over Bonneville. But the
part is that Idaho loses close to 1/3 of all their returning adult fish - that have already made an impossible miracle journey - to other folks between Bonne and LG.
