I just picked up two of these for bottom boncing and Mac fishing,the drag is smooth as silk and the reels and the pfluger rods are assume.Pick up one and compare it to the price of one of the ones mentioned and you will see you can get quality without paying the price.I have replaced all my spinning outfits with the presidentials and just picked these reels up with the 6'6" medium heavy graphite rods for 99.00 a piece at sportsmans I am very happy with them.I wont buy anything else.
