ABSOLUTELY! One about a foot off the bottom and the other 2' to 3'. If trolling I like the "Y" connection with a leech or larger fly (bait fish also) on the longer and a nymph on the shorter.
If the fish are being fussy, I will run two different nymphs.
Around Memorial, I think the Chironomid action should pick up.
I am no pro as far as Daniels, but I did figure it out after a couple of getting skunked trips years ago. I actually keep a journal on it. The same with Henry's. They are both TECHNICAL lakes, but once you find the recipes they produce like crazy.
I would like to try it again in a couple of weeks. All depends on the progress of the rental house repairs and ......oh yeah.....MY NEW BOAT!!!! ARGH!!!!
