Thanks for the tips. I have done so well at big D (in past years) with my standard outfit that I have not thought of the need to diversify but you are obviously a few rungs up the ladder in the experience and knowledge department. This time I committed the ultimate sin and told my buddy that I was going to catch dozens as I left town. Actually the hits I had and the one almost landed were on a huge ugly olive mohair and marabou leach looking thing that I tied myself. It was coming undone by the end and was getting longer by the minute (I am not much of a fly tie person). I will try to find some of what you are recommending (for sale) because they look too small and detailed for my ability level.
Do you recommend that I run two flies in series such as I have seen you recommend before for Henry's (with the Y pattern)?
