Sounds like fun. Do you have any pictures to share? I might have to give it a try sounds like they fight alot harder than the Alaska Kings I've caught. I fished around the Bristol Bay area and it wasn't uncommon to hook and land 20+ fish a day with about a 20 to 30 pound average. My best day, I landed 52 kings in about 7 hours of fishing, it was amazing. But once they were hooked they didn't put up much of a fight, in fact the biggest fish I caught was 42 pounds and I caught it with my trout rod and 8 pound test. I think the Idaho Kings are a much tougher fish they have to swim so far to Spawn they aren't about to let some fishermen stop their journey, whereas the Alaska kings I was catching only swam up river maybe 50 miles at the most and they turned mushy and nasty after only a few days in the fresh water. Thanks for all the info hope to see yah up there.
