I'd personally move away from an Ugly Stik. They are strong, yes, but the O-rings came out of the guides easily on the ones I have. So they're all out of commission.

I have a Berkley Lightning Rod that has been very faithful. If you can find one of those in the right capacity, I know it will work well.
