you dont need aguide to catch lake michigan browns..every spring right after the ice moves out usually about right now the browns move in shallow ..they catch them of the peirs and troling the shore lines with rapalas and hot n tots 15 to 20 foot of watter..this is the best time to get em here..althougt you might be disapointed on size youll get mostly 5 to 7 pounders not very many over 10 pounds..but you will get steelhead and cohos mixed in..its alot of fun to catch 20 to 30 fish in a day..
