I've lived in Boise for twenty years. I grew up as a kid catching bass and bluegill and caught my first trout in Colorado and never seemed to want catch anything but trout after that. Got to admit that anything that bites is fun to fish for, and that's the main point, to have fun right?
Steelhead are available in good numbers this year near Stanley. I drove up this morning and caught 2 in about 3 hours of fishing time. There seems to be many more wild fish along with the hatchery fish in the river this year, and that's a good thing!
