Hello everyone, this is my first post, I finally did it and became a member after reading what you all have been writing for a while.
I am an Alaskan, born and raised, went to college at BSU, met my wife, moved back to AK. She didn't like AK much and we both missed Boise, so we moved back last year. I live in Meridian, I love to fish. My wife and I just had out first baby a couple days ago, so that's pretty cool.. I still plan on doing lots of fishing this summer... just maybe not quite as much as last year [
]
I miss the fishing in AK but much to my surprise, I learned last year the scale fish fishing is ALOT of fun. I'm just not very good at it yet! and the gear is intirely different so I'm slowing building my collection of lures. I also like to fly fish, but I need to get a smaller rod for the fish here. I have a 6# which I used for Reds and Silvers. I guess it would work for larger steelhead.
Last year was my first year back in Idaho and I spent time at Arrowrock, Lucky Peak, Swan Falls, CJ and Brownlee. I think I had the best luck at CJ and Brownlee.
My boat is a Jetcraft 1925 Kingfisher, it's painted and has a soft top, so if you see my boat, feel free to come over and say hello. The sticker idea is a good one (as long as it looks good, I try to keep my boat looking good... and clean).
I still have a lot to learn about fishing here and I am always looking for people to go fishing with me. My main fishing buddy leaves for Portland this summer... bummer... I also work an odd schedule, so often I'm available to fish during the middle of the week when less people are on the water. So if anyone wants to go and needs a boat, (that gets good gas milage with a Honda 4stroker on it) don't be shy! I don't mind.
Thanks
Jared
