FFF,
On your comments, and being short on time, I decided to give it a try. I started at the Linder bridge (north) and headed down stream as there were several guys/gals bank yanking right at and under the bridge. I wadded through a deep slow hole almost to the top of my waders before I made it through and found a nice little run where I caught a white fish on a Pheasant tail.
Moved to a new run and picked up 5 more right away. Then I hooked up on some debry in the water and lost my last PT. I put on a bead head Prince but didn't get any more out of that run, so I moved on. Just about lost confidence in the prince since I hadn't caught anything on it when I finally started catching again.
Moved back up to the bridge and found that everyone was gone, so I tried under the bridge but didn't get anything. Kept moving up and picked up several more white fish right near the bridge, then finally caught a three trout (smaller, about 10-12 inches) and a few more white fish.
Ending up catching at least 16 fish (and lost several more) in about 4 hours. A good portion of the 4 hours wasn't even fishing. It was spent moving from hole to hole, getting lost, etc. Anyway it was a lot of fun and is something I will try again soon.
FFF, let me know if you are interested in hitting it as a duo. I am thinking I'd like to try near the Star bridge. Or, that floating in the drift boat from Linder to Star sounds like a lot of fun also.
